Driving across Germany one year into the Covid-19 outbreak, portraying scenes and places that had been touched by the pandemic. Central to the story was to approach the trip with an outsider’s perspective. Having lived abroad in the US and Switzerland for most of my adult life, I felt both estrangement and a sense of coming home at the same time.
